A recent workplace mental health survey showed that 7 out of 10 employees consider 2020 to be the most stressful time of their career. In this presentation, Dennis Buttimer will use didactic and experiential elements so that participants will be able to immediately apply ideas and tools to reduce stress and enhance their productivity, and learn how both leaders and employees can feel their best and perform at their best.
Mindful Performance (MP) is comprised of Mindfulness and Peak Performance. The principles, practices, and supporting research of Mindfulness create a foundation for Peak Performance in all areas, both professionally and personally. Buttimer will address the business results and speak to how to integrate Mindful Performance into any culture. The neuroscience research is a helpful element in helping participants more fully understand the key benefits of Mindful Performance.
Some of these benefits include:
Participants will also learn how to utilize some of the skills needed to “pivot” during times of change, with ease, confidence, and clarity. These skills will involve the integration of daily, calming practices for a better sense of balance with work and personal life, particularly with technology. This program will promote tools to assess and alter mental focus. Exercises will help clarify how to improve frustration tolerance in response to workplace demands. Additionally, the value of gratitude and positive focus will be addressed.
A huge component of mindful performance is mindful communication with emotional intelligence. This can often be the “secret sauce” in working with others in and across industries, especially in sales. The five (5) components of emotional intelligence will be addressed so that participants can improve sales and customer retention. Leaders who exhibit compassion in their relationships have been shown to have higher-functioning, more collaborative teams and thereby achieving better results. Leveraging both Mindfulness and emotional intelligence
Participants will take away an understanding of the C’s of Mindfulness and how to apply them professionally and personally. When you feel you best, you perform at your best!
